These are some of the benefits promised by biotechnology. The debate over its benefits and safety, however, continues. The effects of biotechnology can be harmful as it is being suggested by the scientists. If the testing of the genetically modified crops are not done properly and through proper steps, there are chances of the reversal of the effects, which means that the crop which is modified for the good does the harm. The future of genetically modified crops is still not clear and is a topic for debate, whether it is beneficial of harmful but in the near future it is possible to have GM food on our plates.
