Question
Two infinite, nonconducting sheets of charge are parallel to each other as shown in the figure below. The sheet on the left has a uniform surface charge density %u03C3, and the one on the right has a uniform charge density %u2212%u03C3. Calculate the electric field at the following points. (Use any variable or symbol stated above along with the following as necessary: %u03B50.)
This question has multiple parts, I need assistance with part d which says,
d) find the electric fields in all three regions if both sheets have positive uniform surface charge densities of value
to the left of the two sheets
magnitude E=?
direction?
in between the two sheets
magnitude E=?
direction?
to the right of the two sheets
magnitude E=?
direction?

d) find the electric fields in all three regions if both sheets have positive uniform surface charge densities of value
to the left of the two sheets
magnitude E=0
direction- not applicable
in between the two sheets
magnitude E= sigma/ abselon not
direction- to the right
to the right of the two sheets
magnitude E=0
direction- NA
the value of sigma is not clear..so put the value and get the result..
to the left it will be sigma/2 aabselon- sigma/2 abselon= 0
so is the case with right side
