Question
I am confused on how to complete this! Please help, id really like to understand what 1.4 is asking and how to make the graph!
1.3 Set the DC voltage source to 0.1 Volts and run the simulation measuring Voltage and Current.
Create a table on scrap paper with the measured values of voltage and current
1.4 Repeat the previous measurements, each time increasing the DC voltage source by 0.3 Volts until
the DC voltage source has reached approximately 10 Volts.
1.5 The table that you created in Section 1.3 contains the values of the current through the diode (Id)
for different voltages across the diode (Vd). Plot Id versus Vd using Excel or other similar software. If
using Excel, choose “Scatterplot”. You should have obtained a graph similar to the one shown in Figure
Current Multimeter-XMM1 Set. Multimeter-XMM2 3 R1 D1. 1N4001GP Set. 1 V Voltage DCExplanation / Answer
In section 1.3 you were asked to take voltage source as 0.1V and then note the corresponding voltage and current through diode.
Now come to section 1.4 In this section they are now asking you to vary the DC voltage source by 0.3V which means after 0.1V in section 1.3 you will now take the input voltages as 0.4 , 0.7 , 1.0 , 1.3 ... until it reaches approximately 10V and you have to note down the corresponding voltage and current through diode and make a table.
Now in section 1.5 you are being asked to make the graph from table obtained in section 1.4 of Id vs Vd. You can plot the graph with the help of MATLAB too.
