Question
A hollow spherical conductor has inner radius a and outer radius b. A positive point charge +q is at the center of the sphere, and the conductor is uncharged. Find the potential V(r) everywhere (ie: r < radius a, radius a < r < radius b, and radius b < r), assuming that V=0 at r=infinite, and sketch V(r) versus r. Hint: Find the charges induced on the inner and outer surfaces of the conductor and use Gauss' law to find the electric field everywhere.
How would I go about solving this? Thanks!
