Korotkoff sounds reprasenting the sound heard during measurement of blood pressure are not the same as the heart sounds lub and dub are due to vibration inside the ventricles that are associated with snapping shut of the valves. It may reprasent the first heart sound i.e diastolic pressure on heart corresponds with the first appearance of blood flow in heart.
