Question

Recent White House Executive Actions on energy topics such as the Clean Power Plan, the proposed national budget, and changes in the Dept of Energy and EPA policies on climate change are major shifts in energy policy from the previous administration. These can potentially have a major influence on renewable energy adoption in the US. From your reading of the Sustainable Energy Factbook and other sources, what is your opinion on the path renewable energy adoption in the US will take in the short term?

While this is a request for an opinion, this opinion must be based on fact, and the resources used to build your opinion must be cited. Limit your post to two to three paragraphs, or approximately 300 words. Review the grading rubric before making your post.

Explanation / Answer

Some Facts

In the United States, renewable energy for electric power, transportation, industrial, residential and commercial purposes is the fastest-growing energy source, increasing 52 percent from 2000 to 2013 from 6.1 to 9.3 quadrillion British Thermal Units (Btus).

Globally, renewable energy was responsible for approximately 22.1 percent of electricity generation with hydro generation accounting for 16.4 percent of the total in 2013.

Renewable energy is used for electric power generation, space heating and cooling, and transportation fuels. All sources of renewable energy are used to generate electric power. In addition to generating electricity, geothermal steam is used directly for heating and cooking. Biomass and solar sources are also used for space and water heating. Ethanol and biodiesel are the renewable transportation fuels with gaseous biomethane also fueling transport to a much lesser extent.

If you are capable enough then you can create your own renewable sources to generate the power. All you need is a continue motion to generate energy. My personal suggestion is to use pneumatic motion to generate energy. Not only water, biomass, wind, geothermal, solar will be considered as remewable energys, we can also use tidal energy, noice pollution in the air etc.

Main obstacles for not adapting renewable sources

One of the most significant obstacles to making most renewable energy sources competitive with more widely adopted energy sources is that they are relatively dilute. In fact, some of today’s more promising processes for tapping biomass energy involve using chemical or thermal conversion in an attempt to mimic the results of a process that, through immense pressure and over geologic time scales, created energy-rich fossil fuels from biomass. Despite such developing technologies, the amount of energy in a given amount of raw biomass tends to be significantly less than that contained in an equal amount of its concentrated cousin, fossil energy. In the United States, demand for all sources of energy is expected to rise between now and 2040 to keep pace with growth in the economy, population and standard of living. Renewable sources are anticipated to participate more broadly in this growth being spurred by State and Federal legislation, including the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.

so now by overcoming the above facts we can create a better world where the energy is not a problem to generate.

if any doubts comment on this post and also make some research on this for your project.

Cheers.
