?C , are placed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle whose sides are of length 0.500m . What is the electric potential energy U of the system? (Take as zero the potential energy of the three charges when they are infinitely far apart.)

P=10 days=10/365.25 day/yr = 0.027 yr =864000s

GMm/r^2=mv^2/r
v^2=GM/r

v=distance/time = 2 pi r/P

v^2=4 pi^2 r^2/P^2

substitute this back into

v^2=GM/r:

4 pi^2 r^2/P^2 = GM/r

r^3=GMP^2/4 pi^2

r^3=(6.67*10^(-11))(2x10^30)(8.64*10^5)^2/4x3.14^2
r^3=2.5*10^30 m^3
