Question
Suppose a person is in a bad accident and requires a blood transfusion. His blood type is O+. His sister offers to donate blood on hi behalf. Could the hospital use his sibling's blood? Why or why not? For a transfusion to be successful, the recipient must lack antibodies (agglutinins) directed against the transfused cells. Type AB lacks antibodies against types A, B, and of course O, so it is sometimes called a universal recipient. Type O cells have no, and so cannot be agglutinated by type A, B, or AB, so this type is called a universal donor. However, blood must always be cross-matched before transfusing, except in dire emergencies.Explanation / Answer
IF HIS SISTER BLOOD GROUP IS O+ . THEN SHE CAN DONATE BLOOD TO HER INJURED BROTHER.
IF HIS SISTER BLOOD GROUP IS NOT O+ . THEN SHE IS NOT ALLOWED DONATE BLOOD TO HER INJURED BROTHER.

The ABO Blood sort framework arranges each sort by antigens (an "identifier") exhibited on red platelets.
The A GROUP has the An antigen,
the B GROUP has the B antigen,
ABs have both, and Os have not one or the other.
In a person's blood, they also have antibodies against the opposing blood type.
IF UNCOMPATIBILE BLOOD IS GIVEN THE Antibodies attach to antigens on cells and mark them for destruction.
