A pure breeding axial, constricted plant is crossed to one that is pure breeding terminal inflated.A. The F1 progeny of this cross are allowed to self fertilize. What is the expected phenotypic distribution among the F2 progeny?
What i did was the following
GG= Green gg=white CC=constricted cc=inflated AA=axial and aa=terminal
according to our question the there are things not taken into account so i use XX for stuff thats not accounted

i get a XXAaCc heterozygous F1. the phenotypic ratio would be the standard 27:....
B. All of the F2 progeny with terminal flowers are saved and allowed to self fertilize to produce a partioal f3 generation. What is expected phenotypic distribution among these F3 plants?
C. If an F1 plant from the initial cross described is crossed to a plant that is terminal constricted, what is the expected distribution among the resulting progeny?
D if the plants with the terminal flowers produced by the cross in part C are saved and allowed to self fertilize, what is the expected phenotypic distribution among the progeny?
I looked at the answers in the back of the book, but they are calculated using pascals triangle and i am not sure how to use it. What is the number of n? and what goes at pQ?
