Solution:
a) Pressure at 0.81 m = density x gravity x height = (10^3)(9,81)(0.81) = 7.95 kPa
b) at half way, h= 0.81/2 = 0.405 m
P = (10^3)(9.81)(0.405 -0.81) = - 3.97 kPa (same magnitude but a Negative Gauge pressure)
