Question

An LR circuit is constructed using a (10.0)ohm resistor and a (330)mH inductor. This circuit is charged and the values returned from the exponential fit (y=Ae^-Cx +B) are: A=1.88*10^-3, B=2.56*10^-4, and C=1898.4.

A.) calculated the time constant from the values of R and L
B.) determine the value of the time constant from the exponential fit
C.) determine if the time constants from part A and part B agree.

I'm really confused on this, mostly with part B. If you could show some detail into how you get each answer I will greatly thank you. I need to know the equation you use along with the numbers you plugged into equation.

Explanation / Answer

A.)time constant=L/R=0.33/10=0.033 B.)Time constant=1/1898.4=5.26 x 10^-4 C.)does not agree
