Explanation / Answer

Good question!

a)

mass of proton = 1.67 x 10-27 kg

mass of electron = 9.1 x 10-31 kg

I will consider a human being weighing 50kg

let there be x protons and x eletrons in the human being

so

x(1.67 x 10-27 + 9.1 x 10-31 ) = 50

hence

x = 30 x 10^27 protons (approx)

b)

charge on each electron = -1.6*10-19 C

hence

net charge on electron box = 30 x 10^27 * -1.6*10-19 = -48 x 10^8 C

net charge on proton box will be = 48 x 10^8 C

c)

F = kq1q2/r^2

F = 9 x 10^9 * -48 x 10^8 * 48 x 10^8 / (1000)^2 = 2.07 x 10^14 N

d)

potential energy = F*r = 2.07 x 10^14 * 1000 = 2.07 x 10^17 V/m
