v = u + at

= 1.21 + 9.8 * 3

= 30.61 m/s


b) v^2 - u^2 = 2as

30.61^2 - 1.21^2 = 2 * 9.8 * s


s = 47.73 metres


c)

v = u + at

= -1.21 + 9.8 * 3

= 28.19 m/s


v^2 - u^2 = 2as

30.61^2 - (-1.21)^2 = 2 * 9.8 * s


s = 47.73 metres
