Question

The figure below is a long stick with evenly spaced marks. The distance between two adjacent marks is 15.30 cm.

For each of the following forces or set of forces determine the requested torque. Use Point C as the axis of rotation. Use the sign convention that a counterclockwise (CCW) torque is considered positive and a clockwise (CW) torque is considered negative.

A) A force of 14.0 N is directed upward perpendicular to the stick at Point F. What is the torque from this force?

B) A force of 10.0 N is directed downward perpendicular to the stick at Point E. What is the torque from this force?

C) A force of 30.0 N is directed upward perpendicular to the stick at Point G. What is the torque from this force?

D) A force of 21.0 N is directed upward at angle 33.5

Explanation / Answer

if it is not possible to upload figuare......

here i am sending formulas with detailed explanatin then try it..........

Torque T =r.F sin (theta)....

here theta is angle between length of the rod and direction of force.........

r is the distance from axis of rotation to point of application of force........

F is the applied force.....

i am really intresed to this problem...but without figuare can't do that.....try this u will get ans surely....

thank you...if you have any doubts ask me in comments.i will follow.
