v^2 = u^2 + 2aS

a will be -9.8 because it is acting downward

S = 0.8 m

4.4^2 = u^2 - 2*9.8*0.80

hence

initial speed = u = 5.92 m/s


if v = 5.1

using same formula above u = 6.46 m/s
