A The earthworm's respiratory organs are too small to be seen with a microscope B. The digestive system not only extracts nutrients but also absorbs orygen Earthworms do not have respiratory orgars. They absorb oxygen theough their skin D. The respiratory organs are delicate, therefore they are damaged in the slide making process SAVE AND FINISH LATER aned qestionsExplanation / Answer
C)
Earthworms breathe through their skin. Air dissolve on the mucus of the skin, so they have to stay moist to breathe. If worms dry out, they suffocate. As fresh air is taken in through the skin, oxygen is drawn into the worm's circulatory system, and the worm's heart pumps the oxygenated blood to the head area. The movements of the worm's body makes the blood flow back to the back end of the body, and the heart pumps the blood forward again. Carbon dioxide dissolves out of the blood back to the skin.
