Show the equation and an example calculation for determining the mean arterial pressure for the baseline condition. Show the equation and an example calculation for determining pulse pressure for the baseline condition 2.Explanation / Answer
Ans 1) Mean arterial pressure (MAP) equatkion is = Systolic blood pressure(SBP) + 2 X (Diastolic blood pressure) / 3
MAP for baseline = SBP + (2 x DBP) ./ 3
= 90 + ( 2 x 74) /3 = 79.33
Immediately after work = 111 + (2X 73) / 3 = 85.66
AFTER 2 MIN OF WORK = 104 x+ (2 X 72) / 3 = 82.666
AFTER 4 MIN PF WORK = 102 + (2 x69 )./ 3 = 80
Ans 2) To determine the pulse pressure of we have to subtract the systolic pressure and the diastolic pressure.
So, the piulse pressure for the baseline is Systolic - Diastolic.= 90-74 = 16
Immediately after work = 111-73 = 38
2 min after excersice = 104-72 = 32
4 min after work = 102-64 = 38
