E.Coli is negative to oxidase reagent - Colour less or Light pink . Pseudomonas aeruginosa is positive to oxidase reagent - Dark purple or blue colour . 1. The blue ring developing in sample is not a positive but the colour due to reaction with paper. 2. Member of enterics can cause infection deeper in less oxygenated tissue , because they are faculative anaerobes they do not require oxygen. But pseudomonas require oxygen.
