Hello,
1. Karen`s mother should get influenza shot because elderly people are among those at high risk to get an influenza infection.
2. Since Karen`s sister work in a day care she could possibly spread the infection to people in there because they are susceptible to the infection. Mary`s neice should also be administered with the influenza shot after the age of 6 months.
3. In general, people who are at high risk of contracting influenza infection are - pregnant women, the elderly, children between six months and five years of age, those with other health problems, and those who work in healthcare. SO they should all be vaccinated for the same.
