or what was my instructor thinking? category. Prove that if the wavelength of light is equal to or slit perpendicularly passes through without forming any dark interference bands.
I went through my text again, and I think it has something to do with how light from a part of the slit can cancel out light form another part under certain circumstances. In this case the size is a factor. Beyond that, I'm lost. Any explanation would help as well, as this part of the chapter is the part I'm having the most difficulty with. I will be watching youtube lectures trying to piece more of this together. Thanks brightstorm.com and Earl Haig secondary school videos (from Canada)! And thanks to those who help me with this!
