You are walking down a long hallway that has many light fixtures in the ceiling and a very shiny, newly waxed floor. When looking at the floor, you see reflections of every light fixture (glare). Now you put on polarized sunglasses. Some of the reflections of the light fixtures can no longer be seen. The glare intensity changes as you tip your head from side to side. When orientation should the polarizing filters have to be most effective? Place the Lucite block on top of a coin. Look at the coin through the block and mark where the coin appears to be. Explain your observation. When the goldfish is near a corner of the tank and viewed along a direction that makes equal angles with two adjacent sides, the observer sees 2 fish. Explain.
