Question
1) Why does the Multisim circuit Digital_Exp_05_Part_01 use three cascaded OR gates to OR the AND
terms together?
2) Suppose you wish to modify the circuit in Digital_Exp_05_Part_01 so that the output indicates that a
project is rejected rather than approved. How could you do this?

Answer:- 1) As we can see the OR gate used has only two input ports, hence to do logic OR of four signals we need to do OR operation in cascaded form in three steps.
Answer:-2) The present circuit glows green LED for project approval. To make the circuit to glow the LED for rejected project just replace the last OR gate by a NOR gate just before the LED. Or we can add a NOT gate before connection to LED that will do same as NOR i.e inverts the logic.
