Question

Help with A-D or B-E without using solver.

I have the answers already but I want to know how to get the answers without using excel solver.

b) Ya*=337.5 Yc*=62.5

c) Fab*=137.5     Fbc*=62.5      Fca*=-200

d) Lmpa=10    Lmpb=15      Lmpc=20

e) Uab=0    Ubc=0     Uca=15

I need help getting these numbers without the usage of solver, thus how to them by hand or by another method other than solver.

Thank you

Explanation / Answer

According to the question in which 3- Node Electricity Transmission Network Model, the given parameter and demand are given below-

Line limit A to B is 300 mw

Line limit B to c is 400 mw

Line limit C to A is 200 mw

Maximum Capacity is 500 mw

Demand at Node B is 75 mw and Demand at Node C is 325 mw

Answer.

(b) The optimal generation output at node A and C are 225 mw and 75 mw.

(c) The flow on line AB, BC, and CA are 300 mw, 400 mw and 200 mw.

(d) The location marginal price is the marinal cost of supplying, at least cost, the next increment of electric demand at a specific location or Node on the electric power network.

* Marginal cost concept which is based on the marginal cost of the total system cost.

* The total system cost is similar to social surplus (aka total surplus).
