Question
Please show all steps to the attached problem. Thank you.
The fly back converter shown below has an input of 40 V, an output of 5 V, a duty ratio of 0.333, and a switching frequency of 300 kHz. The load resistor is 1 ohm. Using analytical calculations, Determine the transformer turns ratio. Determine the transformer magnetizing inductance Lm such that the minimum inductor current is 40 percent of the average current. What is the maximum energy stored in the transformer (here, it is given simply by E=1/2 L_n i_Lm^2). Plot the voltage across the transformer output v2 vs time and the voltage across the switch vsw vs time. What is the maximum voltage required of the switch and of the diode? Simulate your converter using psim. Include the circuit diagram and plots of primary and secondary transformer currents in your homework solutions. Also, measure the output ripple; the suggested filter capacitor value is 50uF. Relate the psim value to your analytical calculations.Explanation / Answer
a)flyback voltage Vor=Vo*(Np/Ns)=(Ton/Toff)Vin
therefore Np/Ns=Vor/Vo
Duty=Vor/(Vor+Vin) ==>0.333=Vor/(Vor+40)==>Vor=19.70volts
Then turns ratio =19.70/5=3.94
for the remaining questions current is required to find the remaining parameters so for b,c,d data is missing
