Question
This is EE post lab questions:
and here is the original circuit ..
For the wiring diagram portion of this lab report, you will need seven copies of the wiring diagram. One for the original, and six others for the states below Relay de-energized (i.e. not running), no buttons pressed Relay de-energized, stop button pressed Relay de-energized, start button pressed Relay energized (i.e. not running), no buttons pressed Relay energized, start button pressed Relay energized, stop button pressed Questions 1. What would happen if both buttons were pressed simultaneously? Is there a case where this would affect the operation of the circuit? 2. What happens if someone holds down one of the buttons? 3. Explain each set of terminals on the relay (One should be able to look at the relay from your description and know which terminal is which).Explanation / Answer
Lets consider the state as shown in diagram to be the initial state.
So Initially, the relay will be energised as it gets supply via NC of the coil.
1> If both the buttons are pressed simultaneously, then relay will get de-energised as long as you keep the buttons pressed.Once the buttons are released, the relay will get energised again.
2> If the NO push button(the first one) is holded down, relay will be de-energised.
If the NC push button(the second one) is holded down, relay will be de-energised.Even if you release the button, relay will still be de-energised.
