Question

So I plotted this graph and I am having a hard time writing a discussion. Please can someone explain this graph or explain how (head coefficient) Cth and Cexp vs. distance from datum(Xn) relates CEPH Experimental piezometric head coefficient ·xn = reference distance from probe point to hi piezometric height at point A h2 = piezometric height as point D * C = coefficient of Venturimeter A = cross-sectional area of pipe the datum ·Qbench-flow rate measured from the bench Da diameter of the Venturimeter at points A to K CTPH Theoretical piezometric head coefficient ·U,-velocity of fluid at point n ha-hx. piezometric height at points A to K

Explanation / Answer

Answer: In this case, Cth related to the diameter of the Venturimeter at Point A to K (as per Cth formula in terms of diamter) so at different cross section of venturimeter having different flow properties. Similarly in case of Cexp, Cexp is realted to the piezometric hieght from A to K.

As per your graph, Cth and Cexp varies at reference distance form probe point to the datum at different mass flow rate. As comparision both Cth and Cexp curve lies at mostly on same points. It means your reading is right.
