This lift truck manufacturer has to recall several thousand lift-trucks to change lifting-fork arms because many lifting-fork arms had failed prematurely. When you observed the failure lifting-fork arms, you found small surface cracks in various locations but no full through crack was found. The arm was not fractured but bended. The failed lifting-fork arms were made of forged EN25 steel and had been subjected to shock loading and heavy lifting while in service.
