2) It is given that james siblings and himself is suffering from disease and his father is healthy XDY, it shows that their mother was diseased XdXd. In this case all the daughters will be carriers and all the sons will be diseased; so if one of daughters marries a normal male then their will be 50% chances of a healthy child (half of the sons (25%) will be diseased and half daughters (25%) will be carriers and the other halves (25% + 25%) of sons and daughters will be healthy)
4) D. Two. 25% blue:75% dark brown
According to the law of dominance, genes are present in two form, termed as allele; the dominant allele masks the expression of other allele, the recessive. The allele that is expressed is the dominant gene and the ohter whose expression is masked is the recessive allele. In this case brown eye color is dominant over blue eye color, therefore the progeney will be in 3:1 phenotypic ratio.
75% will be brown eye color and 25% blue eye color
