Question
the figure shows a uniform 3T magnetic field that is normal to the plane of a conducting circular loop with a resistance of 1.5Ohms and a radius of .024m. the magnetic field is directed out of the paper as shown. note the area of the noncircular poriton of the wire is considered negligible compared to that of the loop if the magnetic field is held constant at 3T and the loop is pulled out of the region that contains the field in .2 s. what is the magnitude of the average induced emf in the loop? the answer is 2.7x10^-2V please any help is appreciated!!Explanation / Answer
flux linking the loop = BA = 3 * pi * 0.024^2 = 5.429 * 10^-3
emf induced = rate of change of flux = 5.429 * 10^-3/0.2 = 0.027 = 2.7*10^-2V
