Question

The Ideal Gas Law

Question Details

Room Temp: T = 296.8 degrees Kelvin
Air pressure: Patm = 1024 x 100 (HPA)?
Syringe (inner)radius: r = 8.5x10 to the negative 3

Syringe volume & added masses: (The values I measured)

m V T/V F Pg P
1.823 24x10 -6
2.359 22x10 -6
3.780 20x10-6
4.975 17x10-6
2.616 22x10-6
2.135 13x10-6
5.051 17x10-6

Slope:__?___

Correlation coefficient:__?____
Number of moles (n):___?___

1. Find the area of the syringe's cross-section, A= (pie r squared)
2. For each value of m, find the force F = mg and the gauge pressure Pg = F/A exerted by the masses
3. For each value of m, find the total pressure on the gas, P=Patm+Pg
4. Plot P versus T/V
5. Find the slope of the regression line, and the correlation coefficient
6. From the slope, find the number of moles of gas present

I have re-posted this question because there was a value that ended up at the end of the post so just making sure that the value 5.051 T/V = 17x10 to the negative 6 is calculated in the equation sorry for any confusion:( please show work thank you:)
