If-120g. find values for the following. (Let o," 4.90 ?, ?680om, ?2.70 cm, d.-5.70 cm, d," 2.70 on, and 46.160 crnJ (a) m-9 (b) m (c) m3- Need Help? as A uniform beam of length L 7.25 m and weight 5.45 102 N is carried by two workers, Sam and Joe, as shown in the figure below. Determine the force that each person exerts on the beam.

Explanation / Answer

We know that torqure is given by:

T = r*F

Now Using torque balance in m1-m4 rod

Net Torque = 0

Clockwise Torueq = Counter-Clockwise torque

m1*d6 = m4*d5

m1 = m4*(d5/d6)

m1 = 12*(2.70/3.60) = 9 gm

Part B

Now Using torque balance in m2-(m1+m4) rod

Net Torque = 0

Clockwise Torueq = Counter-Clockwise torque

M*d4 = m2*d3

M = m4 + m1 = 12 + 9 = 21 gm

m2 = M*(d4/d3)

m2 = 21*(5.70/2.70) = 44.3 gm

Part C

Now Using torque balance in m3-(m1+ m2 + m4) rod

Net Torque = 0

Clockwise Torueq = Counter-Clockwise torque

M*d1 = m3*d2

M = m2 + m4 + m1 = 44.3 + 12 + 9 = 65.3 gm

m3 = M*(d1/d2)

m3 = 65.3*(4.90/6.80) = 47.05 gm

Please Check the values of d1, d2, d3, etc which I used in answers are correct or not as the picture was blur, So let me know if there is any mistake.
