Would appreciate helo with questions 3 and 4 please. Thank you!

3. An 8.00 uF capacitor isconnected to the terminals of an AC generator with an rms voltage of 1.50 102 V and a frequency of 60.0 Hz. Find the capacitive reactance and rms current in the circuit. If the frequency is doubled, what happens to the capacitive reactance and the rms current? 4. In a purely inductive AC circuit, L 47.0 mH and the rms voltage is 85.0 V. Find the inductive reactan ce and rms current in the circuit if the frequency is 60.0 Hz

Explanation / Answer

3) C = 8 uF, Vrms = 1.5*10^2 V, f = 60 Hz
XC = 1/wc = 1/(2*3.14*60*8*10^-6)
XC = 331.7 ohms
Irms = Vrms/XC = 150/331.7
Irms = 0.45 A

f2 = 2*60 = 120 Hz
XC =1/(2*3.14*120*8*10^-6)
XC = 165.87 ohms
capacitive reactance decreased to 0.5 times

Irms = Vrms/XC = 150/165.87 =0.9 A
current increased double

4) L = 47 mH, Vrms = 85 V, f = 60 Hz
XL =wL =2*3.14*60*0.047 = 17.7 ohms
Irms = 85/17.7 = 4.8 A
