So, eletric potential just before action, V = 70 mV = 70 * 10-3 V

so, Electric field inside membrane just before action, E = V/t

= 70 * 10-3/ (8.9 * 10-9) = 7.865 * 106 V/m(or N/C)

b)

At the point of the depolarisation, Peak voltage, V = 40 mV = 40 * 10-3 V

so, electric field, E at this point, Ep = V/t

= 40 * 10-3 / (8.9 * 10-9) = 4.494 * 106 V/m(or N/C )
