Suppose tension in left cable is T1 and in right cable is T2.

then IN horizontal,

Fnet = T2 cos24 - T1 cos18 = 0

T2 = 1.04106 T1 .......(i)


In vertical,

Fnet = T1sin18 + T2 sin24 - 29 = 0

Tsin18 + (1.0416 T1) sin24 = 29

T1 = 39.5929 lb Or 40 lb ........Ans(Tension in left string)
