Selected Answer: Ribosomes can be found on the inner membrane of the nuclear envelope . Question 21 0 out of 6 points · FE Fill in the blanks with numerals (not words). A drug called TTFA blocks respiratory complex II of the electron transport chain, but does not effect any of the other complexes. How many protons would get pumped into the inner membrane space from one molecule of glucose with complex II disabled [al? How many ATPs would be produced from one glucose for the entire respiration process in this scenario? [bl (use 3.3 protons per ATP and round to the nearest whole number). Answer Specified Answer for: a 20-26 53-66 Specified Answer for:Explanation / Answer
Complex II does not pump any Hydrogen ions. Hence we have the same 10 NADH and 2 FADH2 from 1 glucose. Each NADH causes flow of 10 protons , so total 100 protons from 10 NADH, each FADH2 causes flow of 6 protons so 12 protons from 2 FADH2 . This gives us a total of 112 protons per glucose. Dividing by 3.3 we get 34 ATP per glucose
