A.) with what force does the person have to pull on the rope to start the suitcase moving from rest?
B.) if the person continues to pull with this force, what will the acceleration of the suitcase be?
C.) how fast will the suitcase be going after 2 seconds?

Explanation / Answer

a) Force needed to get suitcase moving

Fs =   s x mg cos 30

.2 (10 kg) ( 9.8 m/s2) cos 30

Fs = 16.97 N

b) F = m a 16.97 = 10kg a

a = 1.7 m/s^2

c) vf = vi + at

vf = 0 + 1.7 ( 2)

33.9 m/s
