Which of the following is difference between graded and action potential?
b) One occurs in the cell body and the other occurs in the dendrites. It is because the graded potential occurs within the cell plasma and hence starts from there. However, the action potential is something that starts from the dendrites causing a spike.
The graded potential are short lived and die after sometime moving in one direction. However, even the action potential moves only in one direction which is regulated by voltage gated channels.
