I am having so much trouble with this homework problem, mostly because I can't figure out the diagram! Please help and be as detailed as possible. Physics is incredibly difficult for me to understand, so I need lengthy explanations. Thank you! Here it is :)

Ok, I will try to explain. 1)what you have here is first a metallic sphere with charge -Q then empty space and then a hollow sphere of charge Q. Important thing here to note is that charge inside a metallic conductor is always zero. I hope this has been taught in electrostatics. So, now the hollow sphere sees a charge of -Q coming from the sphere inside will try to align all the positive charge inside so that the inside surface of the sphere counters the negative charge. Since charge of the hollow sphere is +Q and charge required to counter is -Q therefore charge inside the hollow sphere is +Q. So, entire charge of the hollow sphere now resides inside the cavity and nothing is left on the outer surface of the hollow sphere. 2) as stated before that charge inside a metal is zero so is the electric field inside a metal is always zero. So, for metallic sphere rr>R1 charge enclosed is only -Q and electric filed of a charged conductor is same as that of the entire charged placed in the center so E = -k *Q/r In the region R3>r>R2 since inside metal electric field is zero for region r>R3 using gauss law, no charge in enclosed inside a sphere of radius r > R3 since +Q -Q = 0 so E = 0 3) V = -dE/dr for region r>R3 since E = 0 V = 0 For region R
