Sorry for the terrible drawing but this quistion is confusing me . I really lack the understanding of physic :(
If, in Figure 13.45 from "Physics: the Nature of Things", the system looked exactly the same except the surface of the oil was measured to be 15 cm above the water surface (instead of the 10 cm shown in the figure), what would the density of the oil be?
I need an well explained answer for this becuase when it come to the formulas I know them all but I dont know how to apply this in such a problem

We know that P =dgh. Pressure is same here . Since P and g are same So d1h1 =d2h2 or, 1*40 =d2*55 So d2 =0.72727 g/ml
