You are given the following components: diodes, Zener diodes, transformers, resistors, capacitors, measuring equipment and the power line with 115 volt AC and the frequency of 60 Hz, with max current drawn 100 mA. You are supposed to build a simple and cost effective rectifier circuit to charge your car battery of 12 volts. For simplicity, the battery is assumed to need charging when its internal resistance changes from 0.2 ? to 24 ? before its voltage get reduced. For this problem assume its resistance stays constant, 5 ?, during the charge with fixed 12 volts, and the charging current should not exceed 400 mA.
