LDL is considered as the bad form of lipoprotein and is the main cause of atherosclerosis, the small LDL particles interact with the inner cell layer of the blood vessels and then undergo binding with the proteoglycans and once more and more small LDL particles do get accumulated in the blood vessel because of increased level in the blood lead to the formation of clump like mass which with time undergo stiffening and thus finally cause clogging of the blood vessel result in atherosclerosis.
