Question
Consider a population of tyrannosaurs (T Rex) prior to their well-know extinction. Like other reptiles, they were diploid animals. Winking, several rapid blinks of the aye, was adaptive in these creatures because males that battle their ayes were much more successful in attaching mates than were nowning. A random sample of tyrannosaurs(assume this was possible) yielded 100 individuals homozygous for allele W, 80 individuals homozygous for allele N and 20 heterozygotes A) identify the GENOTYPES and calculate the GENOTYPIC freemcies. Show all work please circle genotypes and their respective freauenciesExplanation / Answer
Number of WW Homozygotes = 100.
Number of NN Homozygotes = 80.
Number of WN heterozygotes = 20.
Total number of individuals = 200.
Genotypic frequency of WW = 100 ÷ 200 = 0.5.
Genotypic frequency of NN = 80 ÷ 200 = 0.4.
Phenotypic frequency of WN = 20 ÷200 = 0.1.
