For question number 80 in Ch11 of textbook Matters and Interactions I, the solution included using the following equation, (change in angular velocity) = 2(angular acceleration)(change in time). Where has this equation been expressed in the book or elsewhere? The solution finds work on string= (torque)(angular displacement), I dont know how or why they knew to use that equation. I have not been able to find information involving work= (torque)(angular displacement) anywhere in the book. Are there additional ways in approaching the solution to this problem?
