Question

figure above shows a uniform, circular disc which can rotate about an axis normal drawing plane and passing through the blade's center of mass. The blade has radius of 0.02 m and a mass is 0.02 kg. The blade is stationary. From time t = 0s used two constant forces, F1 and F2 with vector, tangential to the disc outer edge. At time t = 1.25 s blade has been given an angular speed of 250 rad / s Rotation is counterclockwise. The size of the force vector F1 is 0.100N.

a, What is the size of the force F2 with vector?

Explanation / Answer

we have

Net TOrque = I

also

= 0 + t

0--initial angular velocity = 0

= 250 at t= 1.25 sec,

so = 200 rad/sec2

Net torque = (F2 - F1) r = (F2-0.1) x 0.02    = I

I = mr2/2 , m =0.02 , r = 0.02 ,

also, = 200

SO substituting gives F2 = 0.14 N

Therefore, the answer os 0.14 N
