a)Initial momentum = 0 =>0.8*0.47 = -0.61*V =>V = -0.6164 m/s b)No. Since K.E. = 0.5mv^2 and we are squaring the velocity term. So It is always positive for both the cars and sum of two positive numbers is never equal to zero. c)K.E. = (0.5*0.47*(0.8^2))+(0.5*0.61*((-0.6164)^2)) = 0.2663 J
