A. Intramolecular forces are the forces that hold atoms together within a molecule. Examples are metallic bond, ionic bond, covalent bond, ionic bond, polar covalent bond and non-polar covalent bond. Metallic bond is created through metal cations to delocalized electrons. Ionic bond is created through cations to anions exchange. Polar covalent bond has its formation through partially charged cation to partially charged anion. Nonpolar covalent bond is formed by Nuclei to shared electrons.

B. Intermolecular forces includes Dipole-dipole attraction(occurs between partially oppositely charged ions), Hydrogen bonding(occurs between H atom and OO, NN/ or FFatom), London dispersion attraction(occurs between Temporary or induced dipoles).

C. Carbon is versatile because it can form single,double and triple bonds besides forming chains like branched chains,and rings when connected to other carbon atoms. The functional groups are Hydroxyl, Carbonyl, Carboxyl, Amino, Thiol, Phosphate, and aldehyde groups.
