Question

Why are the plot the same?

f[x,y] = Sin[x-y] & Parametric Plot[x,y,f[x,y]]

Clear[f, x, y] ; {a, b} = {3, 2}; f[x_, y_] = Sin[x - y] ; CMView = {2. 7, 1. 6, 1. 2}; regular = Plot3D[f[x, y], {x, -a, a}, {y, -b, b}, Viewpoints rightarrow CMView, BoxRatios rightarrow Automatic] Stay with the same function f [x: y] and the same a and b: and look at this parametric plot: parametric = ParametricPlot3D[{x, y, f[x, y]}, {x, -a, a}, {y, -b, b} Viewpoint rightarrow CMView, BoxRatios rightarrow Automatic] See them side-by-side: GraphicsRow[{regular, parametric}]

Explanation / Answer

Your values are same and you are saving every file in same directory. Matlab is reading only the initial value and calling its graph. Also your are asking for same out put so surely graph will be same as above. If you are having any problem please provide full detail of your question.
