b) Ran-GDP in the associated with importin and protein with nucleus localization signal and transports (imports) it into the nucleus,when in inside the nucleus Ran-GDP is converted Ran-GTP through GEF which leads to dissociation from importin and protien. in the nucleus Ran-GTP associates with exportin and Protein with NES, export signal and exports. In the cytoplasm this complex is dirupted when Ran-GTP is hydrolyzed into RanGDP
