Explanation / Answer

Given that

initial speed, U = 0 m/sec

a = 6.0 m/sec^2

After t = 10 sec, speed will be

V = U + a*t

V = 0 + 6*10

V = 60 m/sec

Part B.

distance traveled by car in 10 sec will be

d = U*t + 0.5*a*t^2

d = 0*10 + 0.5*6*10^2

d = 300 m

Now distance from origin will be sum of distance traveled (d) and initial distance from origin (x)

D = d + x = 300 + 48

D = 348 m

Part C.

Average Velocity = Distance traveled/Time taken

time taken = 10 sec

distance traveled = 300 m, (from Part B)

So,

V_avg = 300/10

V_avg = 30 m/sec
