Explain

Explanation / Answer

The final concentration of the glucose and yeast are wrong as the initial concentration of the glucose solution is not 100% but 60%, and for the yeast solution is unknown. So, as 1 milliliter of 60% glucose was added to tube 1-3, the final concentration will be 6%. For yeast impossible to know if the initial concentration is unknown.

The only two changing reagents that affect the fermentation rate are the glucose and yeast percentage in the total solution.

- The tubes with the least fermentation rate will tube 1 & tube 4, as tube 1 doesn't have any yeast and the tube 4 doesn't have any glucose.

- Tube 3 will have the highest fermentation rate as it has the highest final yeast concentration, and we don't really need to know the initial yeast concentration to know that, as is the tube where more volume of it was added.

-Tube 2 will be the second with the highest fermentation rate as it has 2 milliliters less than tube 3 of yeast.
